Freddie Kitchens Says "Hold My Beer" To Reports He Won't Get Fired

Oh, man. (Final score was 38-24)

* - not a real picture, this has been photoshopped, don't sue me, NFL

As I was typing this out, Freddie threw the ball three straight times from the 1-yard line. On 3rd & Goal, he didn't even have Nick Chubb (the NFL leading rusher) in the fucking ball game. Did they score? Yes. Does it matter? No. I don't understand what the fuck this guy is thinking.

I believed in Freddie Kitchens. I will be the first to admit I was wrong. It isn't even totally his fault, because Baker had his struggles (especially early on) and the offensive line was a disaster.

Anyway, whatever the hell he did last season to look like a qualified NFL Whiz… he totally lost it. Nick Chubb's usage alone is a huge issue. The Browns should be a run-first team with the likes of Chubb and Kareem Hunt in their backfield. Your offense should run through this guy, play to your damn strengths!

Look at this play they ran on 3rd & 2 (when it was still a close game)…

I love little gadget plays, Kitchens ran similar stuff last season and it worked…

But stop taking the ball out of the hands of your best player in important spots.

In terms of the game, it was the same old thing that has summed up the season. This…

…led to this…

Odell drops a great ball to put them close to the end zone. Baker then overshoots him for a turnover. Rinse, lather, repeat.

Baker was 30-for-43 with 247 yards, 2 scores, and an interception. He didn't look awful, but he was far from great. One of his better throws also resulted in a fumble recovered by the Cardinals. It's just how things have gone this year for Baker and the Browns.

Effort, execution, sequencing of play calls, yadda, yadda, it all really comes down to the guy in charge. There's no reason this team should be as bad as they are right now.

I have no idea if they'll fire Freddie Kitchens, but if they don't, he better discover some sort of magic in the offseason.
